The New York Yankees are No. 1 in this week’s aggregated MLB Power Rankings from Real Clear Sports. RCS takes the power rankings from seven popular Internet sources and combines them into an overall ranking.
The Yankees, who had a 10-game winning streak snapped Tuesday, are top dog in the RCS rankings. The Yankees got first-place votes from FOX, Grantland, Sporting News and Team Rankings. Sports Illustrated had the Yankees at No. 5, their lowest ranking. The Yankees lead the American League East.
The New York Mets ranked 17th in the aggregate power rankings.
The Yankees and Mets meet this weekend at Citi Field for a weekend series, the latest version of the Subway Series.
