The New York Knicks have met with Argentinian star point guard Pablo Prigioni, Marc Berman of the New York Post reported on Tuesday. Prigioni reportedly spent a two-day visit meeting with general manager Glen Grunwald and head coach Mike Woodson.
Prigioni, 35, has long been a star in international play. Known for his intelligent play and court vision, he has been a part of Argentina's national team for many years and has interested several NBA teams over his career. But his age has now become a factor.
Despite Jeremy Lin's breakout season, point guard was a trouble position for the Knicks last season. Considering that Lin is a free agent, Baron Davis tore several ligaments in his right knee and might never play again, and Mike Bibby never panned out, the Knicks will be looking to solidify the position before the upcoming season.
