The New York Mets will begin a three-game series with the Baltimore Orioles on Monday at Citi Field.
New York will start R.A. Dickey (10-1, 2.20 ERA) on Monday while the Orioles will start Jake Arrieta (3-8, 5.89 ERA). Dickey has been lights out this season and has 50 strikeouts in his last five starts. Dickey has also won all five of those starts while allowing just one earned run. Arrieta had dropped four starts in a row before winning against the Pirates on June 13. That outing was arguably the best of the season for Arrieta, who struck out nine and allowed one earned run in seven innings.
The Orioles enter the series having won eight of their last nine games while the Mets have lost six of their last nine. However, in the last meeting between the teams in June 2010, the Mets took all three games from the Orioles.

Game 2: Baltimore, Tommy Hunter (3-3, 5.58 ERA), New York, Johan Santana (4-3, 3.23 ERA)
Game 3: Baltimore, Brian Matusz (5-7, 4.94 ERA), New York, Dillon Gee (4-5, 4.43 ERA)
