2012 U.S. Open Leaderboard: Beau Hossler Takes Lead On Friday At 2-Under

Beau Hossler, a 17-year-old amateur, leads the 2012 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco at 2-under-par. Hossler is the first amateur to lead the U.S. Open since Jim Simmons in 1980.

Hossler took the outright lead with a birdie putt on hole #1 at the Olympic Club after starting his Friday round on the back nine. He is currently on his 12th hole of the day and leads Jim Furyk by one stroke. Hossler is 2-under-par on the day having also made a birdie on hole #17. He shot an even par 70 on Thursday.

Furyk finished his round earlier in the day and is in the clubhouse with a score of 1-under-par after two rounds.
