U.S. Open Golf Leaderboard 2012: Rory McIlroy Could Miss Cut

Defending U.S. Open champion Rory McIlroy is in danger of missing the cut at the 2012 U.S. Open at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, CA.

After two rounds, McIlroy is in the clubhouse with a score of 10-over-par. His Thursday round of a 7-over-par 77 was the real killer. On Friday, he bounced back with a 3-over-par 73 round. McIlory hit 52.78% of the greens in regulation (19 of 36) and 53.57% of the fairways in regulation (15 of 28). He was only 1 of 4 on sand saves on Thursday and Friday.

If McIlroy does indeed miss the cut, which is projected to be at 8-over-par, it will be the second time he's missed the cut at the U.S. Open Championship in the last three years.
