2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament: Stony Brook Defeats Miami 10-2, Moves On To Face UCF

The Stony Brook Seawolves soundly defeated the Miami Hurricanes Friday night, winning 10-2 in game two of the Coral Gables Regional in the NCAA Baseball Tournament. Tyler Johnson pitched 6.1 innings for the win, while Eric Erickson takes the loss for Miami.

Stony Brook scored first, taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the second after two Miami errors allowed baserunners to reach. Miami tied things 2-2 in the fourth, but Stony Brook would soon pull away. They scored two in the fifth, two in the seventh, three in the eighth and a final run in the ninth to total 11 runs on 10 hits.
