After earning their third America East Conference title on Saturday, the Stony Brook Seawolves men's lacrosse program had to wait to learn their NCAA Tournament fate. On Sunday, during an ESPNU Selection Show special, it was revealed the Seawolves would travel Sunday (3 p.m. ET on ESPNU) to face the No. 2-overall seed John's Hopkins Bluejays in the first round of the 16-team bracket.
The winner will advance to the NCAA quarterfinals where they will play either No. 7 Lehigh or Maryland the following Sun. at Navy.
This will be Stony Brook's second appearance in the NCAA Tournament in three season, while Hopkins, a program with nine NCAA Championships, will be playing in the 41st straight tournament.
This will be the first all-time meeting between the two programs.
