This week's MLB Power Rankings from SB Nation New York are here and once again there is a familiar name living at the top. New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter has turned back the clock this season and has found his way to the No. 1 spot on this week's list of top 10 players on New York's squads.
1. Derek Jeter, Yankees - Jeter continued his amazing start to the 2012 season last week, hitting .400 (12-for-30). He is hitting .397 for the season, which leads the American League. -- Ed Valentine
2. Mariano Rivera, Yankees - Out for the season after tearing his ACL during pre-game warmups. It might seem odd to place him here, but I do so simply because of the grace with which he has handled the situation. -- EV
3. Johan Santana, Mets - When the Mets started the week with four straight losses, it was the lefty stepping up to stop the bleeding. He tossed seven innings -- even talking his way into his last frame -- and gave up three runs on his way to the first victory of the season after four starts worthy of a victory earlier in the season.

4. CC Sabathia, Yankees - The Yankees ace went 2-0 with a 2.24 ERA for the week, pitching a total of 16 innings. Sabathia is now 4-0 on the season. -- EV
5. Andres Torres, Mets - After missing 21 games, Torres returned last week and hasn't stopped hitting since. He hit safely in every game, including a huge two-run single Saturday against the Diamondbacks that turned out to be the game-winner.
6. R.A. Dickey, Mets - He was a tough luck loser on Monday before coming back and putting together a masterful performance Sunday against Arizona. The knuckleball was dancing over eight scoreless innings before he exited in the ninth inning after giving up a walk and double.
7. David Robertson, Yankees - Three more scoreless appearances for the guy who will take over as Yankee closer with Rivera down. Robertson has yet to surrender a run in 12 appearances this season. -- EV
8. David Wright, Mets - Oh, no! Wright's average is down to .375! He picked up hits in five of the six games last week and has only gone hitless in four games all year.
9. Phil Hughes, Yankees - Finally, progress from Hughes. His 6.2-inning, three-run effort on Sunday was not great, but it was his best of the season. That followed going 5.2 innings earlier in the week. Hughes has seen his bloated ERA drop from 7.88 to 6.67. Like I said, not great, but progress for a guy the Yankees need to pitch better than he has. -- EV
10. Frank Francisco, Mets - The Mets closer managed to survive a rough two-week patch and rebound with a scoreless three games, including saves in New York's two wins against the Diamondbacks. In closing out Arizona, Francisco allowed just one baserunner in 1.2 innings.
