Morning Coffee! A Quick Gulp Of New York Sports News

The New York Knicks won a playoff game Sunday, snapping their NBA-record 13-game playoff losing streak. That's nice, but does it mean anything? An Eastern Conference final between the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils sure would be nice. The Devils are doing their part, leading the Philadelphia Flyers 3-1 after a convincing 4-2 victory Sunday night. The Rangers are knotted with the Washington Capitals at 2-2. Game 5 is Monday night at Madison Square Garden.

The New York Yankees found some offense on Sunday, defeating the Kansas City Royals, 10-4. The New York Mets did it with pitching, defeating the Arizona Diamondbacks, 2-1.
