Morning Coffee: Eli On SNL, Kentucky Derby, Knicks, NHL Playoffs

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning hosted Saturday Night Live last night. Was he funny? At times, yes. Was he hilarious? No. To be honest, he wasn't given a whole lot to work with. It's been years since I watched 'SNL,' and now I see why. The show isn't very good.

Mike Farley of Big Blue View offers a full review of Eli's performance.

2012 NBA Playoffs, Knicks Vs. Heat: In 3-0 Hole, Knicks Troy To Avoid Sweep

The New York Knicks have been humiliated thus far in the 2012 NBA Playoffs, and have now lost 13 straight playoff games over a span of 11 years -- both numbers that tell you a lot about the bumbling franchise. They try today to avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Miami Heat. Delusional Knicks fans have also provided us with our SB Nation Video Of The Day:

NHL Playoffs

The New York Rangers missed a chance on Saturday to grab a 3-1 lead in their series against the Washington Capitals. ... The New Jersey Devils try to take a 3-1 lead today when they play Game 4 of their series with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Baseball

The New York Yankees and New York Mets are both 14-13 at this point in the season, a fact that has Yankee fans unhappy and Mets fans pleasantly surprised. See our Mets vs. Arizona Diamondbacks and Yankees vs. Kansas City Royals StoryStreams.

Quotable

"I wanna show the UFC it's about time [they put together] the flyweights and show the fans that we belong here. Some of the fans are like, ‘Ah, I only want to see the heavyweights, these little midgets.' But we were going at it. Who knows how things play out? Two fights down the road I could be fighting for a title. I don't want to look too far ahead, I have less than 10 pro fights so I'll take it slow and whatever the UFC wants to give me."
