2012 Kentucky Derby Winner: 'I'll Have Another Wins' 138th Kentucky Derby

The 138th Kentucky Derby is in the books and the winner is ... I'll Have Another.

I'll Have Another was ridden by 25-year-old Mario Gutierrez – who was riding in his first career Kentucky Derby. The horse's trainer was Doug O'Neill.

This marks the first time in Kentucky Derby history that horse in the 19th pole position won the race.

Bodemeister was the favorite and led the majority of the way. I'll Have Another came on late and overtook Bodemesiter on the final stretch to win the race. Bodemeister finished second and Dullahan was third.

I'll Have Another began the day as a 12/1 favorite to win the Derby, but fell to 13/1 prior to the beginning of the race. Below is a video of the entire race.
