In the latest MLB 2012 Mock Draft at ESPN, Keith Law has some projections in for the first round of the upcoming MLB Draft (June 4-6).

The Mets were projected to select David Dahl, a centerfielder from Oak Mountain High School in Birmingham, Alabama with the 12th pick. Here's what Law said about Dahl:

Dahl is a well-rounded athlete with a chance for five tools that are average or better. I'm also hearing Gavin Cecchini, Hawkins, Corey Seager and some college arms here, including Wacha. (via ESPN Insider)

The Yankees were predicted to select third baseman Joey Gallo from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada with the 30th pick.

Here's Law's take on Gallo:

Gallo might be the best power hitter in the draft, but other than him I'm hearing New York primarily focused on arms, including Underwood, Puerto Rican prepster Jose Berrios and Washington state high schooler Mitch Gueller (a two-way guy, preferred by more teams as a pitcher). Other bats in play here are Haniger and Davis.
