NCAA Baseball Tournament 2012 Bracket: St. John's, Cornell Begin Play In North Carolina, Chapel Hill

Both the St. John's Red Storm and Cornell Big Red baseball program begin their NCAA Tournament runs Friday, when the No. 3-seeded Red Storm (37-21) takes on the No. 2 East Carolina (35-22-1) at 1 p.m. ET. That contest comes before the No. 4-seeded Big Red (31-15-1) faces the top-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels (44-14) at 6 p.m. ET.

The four teams make-up the Chapel Hill Regional, which will feature a double-elimination tournament at Boshamer Stadium which will be finished Sunday, June 3, or Monday, June 4 (if necessary).

If the win or lose on Friday, both St. John's and Cornell will play sometime Saturday, as the winners bracket will play at 6 p.m. ET and the losers bracket will be at 1 p.m. ET. The losers bracket finals will be played Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, as well as, the first game of the championship series (6 p.m. ET).
