The Atlantic 10 Conference 2012 baseball tournament begins on May 23 at Fordham's Houlihan Park in Bronx, N.Y. The tournament runs from May 23-May 26.

Here is how the seeding ended up for the six teams in the double-elimination tournament:

1. Saint Louis (40-16 overall /17-7 conference)
2. Dayton (28-28/17-7)
3. Rhode Island (32-23-1/16-8)
4. Massachusetts (22-20/14-10)
5. Richmond (27-24/14-10)
6. Saint Joseph's (23-30/13-10)

While Saint Louis and Dayton have the same conference record, the Billikens won the regular season series, 2-1, and thus received the first seed for the tournament. However, both teams have a first round bye. Fordham finished 12-12 in A-10 play this season and missed the tournament for the second season in a row.

Saint Louis will be after its third A-10 tournament crown having won in 2006 and 2010. Massachusetts has won the tournament three times but have not won since 1995. Rhode Island and Richmond have both won the tournament once previously. Saint Joseph's has never made it to the A-10 tournament before. Dayton has made the tournament before but has never won. The teams will also be playing for a spot in one of the regionals in the College World Series.
