2012 Preakness Results: I'll Have Another One Win Away From Triple Crown

The second leg of the 2012 horse racing Triple Crown ended much like the first leg, with a little added drama.

Two weeks ago, at Churchhill Downs, I'll Have Another passed Bodemeister on the final stretch to win the Kentucky Derby. This Saturday, at the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes, Bodemeister once again shot out of the gates to an early lead, and nearly led from start-to-finish. But once again, I'll Have Another – ridden by Mario Gutierrez – surpassed the favorite, with only a few yards to go, to win the Preakness.

I'll Have Another now has the opportunity to accomplish something that hasn't been done in 34 years – win horse racing's Triple Crown. It all comes down to the Belmont Stakes.

SB Nation New York will have updates, results and more from the 2012 Preakness. SB Nation's horse racing blog And Down The Stretch They Come has you covered for all your horse racing needs.
