Preakness 2012: Preakness Post Position Reactions

The favorite to win the 2012 Preakness is Kentucky Derby favorite Bodemeister. The horse, owned by Zayat Stables and Michel and Tiffany Moreno, opened Thursday morning with 8-5 odds to win the race. Bodemeister has the seventh post position in the field of 11 horses.

Bodemeister finished second in the Kentucky Derby after a late surge from I'll Have Another. Flipping the script, the Derby winner has the second-best odds of any horse in the race with a morning line of 5-2. I'll Have Another has ninth post position.

Bodemeister's trainer Bob Baffert is no stranger to winning the Preakness. His horses have five Preakness wins, the latest coming in 2010 by Looking At Lucky.

Went the Day Well and Creative Cause both have 6-1 odds.
