If Guyana Star Dweej does indeed go post-ward Saturday in the 2012 Preakness Stakes it will be a major step up in class for the colt, owned by Belmont Park-based Shivmangal Racing Stable.
Guyana Star Dweej has never raced outside of New York, with eight starts at Aqueduct Racetrack and one at Belmont Park on his resume. Guyana Star Dweej has run only once again winners, finishing second in a mile race at Belmont Park April 27. He has just one victory on his resume, an April 7 victory against older horses at Aqueduct in his eighth maiden race.
Guyana Star Dweej is trained by Doodnauth Shivmangal. Guyana Star Dweej seems likely to be a long shot in the field if he does go post-ward on Saturday.
I'll Have Another, the Kentucky Derby champ, will be seeking a victory in the second leg of the Triple Crown on Saturday.
