2012 Preakness Stakes Entries: Teeth Of The Dog Looks For Bite Of Glory

Teeth of the Dog will make his Triple Crown debut Saturday in the 137th running of the Preakness Stakes. Teeth of the Dog did not run in the Kentucky Derby, which was won by I’ll Have Another.

Teeth of the Dog has finished in the money in all four of its lifetime starts, with a win, a second-place showing and two third-place finishes.His most impressive showing came in his last race, the Grade 1 Wood Memorial at New York’s Aqueduct Racetrack on April 7. Teeth of the Dog finished third to Kentucky Derby starters Gemologist and Alpha in his first Grade 1 stakes race.

The three-year-old colt did not make his initial appearance in horse racing until December of last year at Gulfstream, where he finished third.

Teeth of the Dog is owned by J.W. Singer, trained by Michael Matz and will be ridden by jockey Joe Bravo.
