The Colgate Raiders visit the No. 6 seed Massachusetts Minutemen to begin the 2012 NCAA Men's Tournament Saturday afternoon. (Game Time: 2:30 p.m. ET, TV Schedule: ESPN U, ESPN 3)
Colgate earned a berth into the NCAA tournament by winning the Patriot League title. UMass finished the regular season undefeated, captured the CAA championship and is ranked No. 1 in the latest polls, but fell to the sixth seed in the tournament due to strength of schedule relative to other top teams.
The game will feature two of the nation's top attackmen. Colgate junior Peter Baum leads the country in goals per game (4.00) and points per game (5.81). He and UMass attackman Will Manny are finalists for the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the nation's best player.
