The Syracuse Orange visit the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday at noon to begin the 2012 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament. (Game time: 12 p.m. ET, TV Schedule: ESPN, ESPN 3)
Syracuse received the Big East Conference's automatic berth for the program's 32nd trip to the tournament, fourth-most among all programs. With 62 wins against 20 losses, the Orange sport the all-time best postseason winning percentage at 75.6%. The 62 wins are the second-most of any program behind Johns Hopkins.
Syracuse has won five of its last six meetings with Duke and six of its last eight, but the Blue Devils outlasted the Orange 12-10 during the regular season.
Sophomore attackman Derek Maltz leads Syracuse with 28 goals, while senior Tommy Palasek leads the team in assists (28), points (51) and is second in goals (23).
