Masters 2012 Purse: Bubba Watson's Remarkable Shot Was Worth A Lot Of Money

Bubba Waton's approach shot on the second-playoff hole at Augusta National Golf Club will go down in the annals of golf history. The shot not only helped Watson earn his first major championship, a lifetime exemption to the tournament, a shiny new green jacket and respect amouingst his peers, it also helped him win a boatload of money -- about $1.5 million to be exact.

For second place, South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen earned about $$850K for his effot, while Phil Mickelson will be one of four players, which all tied for third place, cashing a check for about $280K.
