Bubba Watson won the 2012 Masters Tournament after a two-hole playoff at the Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia on Sunday.
Watson played the playoff against Louis Oosthuizen, whom he had played against all day during Sunday's round. The pairing was tied at 10-under-par for the tournament and thus went to a sudden death playoff. Both players scored par on the first hole of the playoff (18th hole). On the 10th hole, both players erred on their approach shots. Watson appeared to be in the worse position in the woods until he delivered a magnificent shot onto the green. Oosthuizen lipped out on his par put and had to settle for bogey. Due to his great shot from off the fairway, Watson was left with little distance to the hole and shot par to win the tournament.
St. John's grad Keegan Bradley also played in the tournament. Despite a final round 69 (3-under-par), Bradley finished the tournament tied for 27th at 2-over-par.
