2012 Frozen Four, Union College: How They Got Here

The Union College Dutchman have had an incredible season thus far and are two wins away from making it historic.

The Dutchman take on the second-seeded Ferris State Bulldogs who hail from Michigan late on Thursday afternoon.

Union (24-7-7) came into the NCAA Tournament as a top-seed after breezing through the regular season and ECAC Tournament.

The campaign didn't start out great, but the Dutchman really got it rolling as the year progressed. Union went 11-2-1 in its last 14 games before rattling off four straight victories to take the ECAC championship.

They've kept it going in the NCAA Tournament, beating both Michigan State and UMass-Lowell 3-1 and 4-2 respectively to reach the university's first Frozen Four.

Jeremy Welsh will have to continue his hot play for the Dutchman to claim the Mens Ice Hockey Championship. He scored in the victory against UMass, his team-leading 27th of the season.

If they beat Ferris State, Union will await the winner of perennial powers Boston College and Minnesota in the title game.
