Former Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, the subject of an ill-spirited prank Thursday night, is one of the top wideouts remaining on the board as the 2012 NFL Draft continues with the second round Friday.
Sanu received a phone call during the first round from a Rutgers student pretending to be a Cincinnati Bengals executive. The voice on the other line told Sanu he had been selected by Cincinnati when in reality the Bengals were moments away from choosing offensive lineman Kevin Zeitler.
Nonetheless, Sanu shouldn't be waiting for a real phone call from an NFL exec for very long. He's ranked as the second-best remaining wide receiver on Mocking The Draft's 2012 NFL Draft Best Available Players list after round one.
