With the 24th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected David DeCastro, the imposing offensive guard from the Stanford Cardinal.
DeCastro is considered one of the top offensive line talents and most definitely the best interior lineman in the draft. He was named a unanimous All-American in 2011 and anchored an offensive line in the middle that allowed only 24 sacks combined in the past three seasons and powered some of the best rushing attacks in Stanford history. DeCastro should be able to utilize those skills to become an excellent run blocker at the next level, particularly as a pulling guard on power run plays to help open up the interior.

Impact on the Giants and Jets:
The Giants had been linked to DeCastro at No. 32 given their aging offensive line, though he was never expected to still be on the board then.
