If averaging 30-plus points a game in the month of April wasn't obvious enough for New York Knicks fans to see that star forward Carmelo Anthony likes playing for interim head coach Mike Woodson more than former head coach Mike D'Antoni, well, his latest comments to ESPN might be.
"Absolutely," Anthony told ESPN's Hannah Storm in an interview for ESPN's "Face2Face." "I'm a big supporter of what coach Woodson has done. His approach to the game, and what he gets out of all his players, even me. He holds everybody accountable and that's what we need."

So far under Woodson, the Knicks are 16-6 overall which has helped them clinched a postseason bid. However, much of the credit has been given to 'Melo, who has played like a man possessed shooting 50-percent from the field in the month of April and seemingly making every big shot he takes in late-game situations.
In the same interview, 'Melo still inisists that he and D'Antoni never had issues.
"Me and Coach Mike never had any arguments, we never had any clashes or any disagreements," Anthony said. "We communicated. If it was something that he didn't like, I always went to him and said, 'Coach, come to me, let me know what you don't like; if it's something I'm doing, if it's something I'm not doing. As long as me and you is on the same page, none of this outside stuff should be (affecting us).'"
