2012 Syracuse Basketball Recruiting: Nerlens Noel Will Make A Decision Tonight

It's almost that time.

Nerlens Noel will be making a decision on his basketball future this evening. The choices have been whittled down to the Syracuse Orange, Georgetown Hoyas and defending champion Kentucky Wildcats.

Noel is an absolute force of nature at six-foot-ten and 210 pounds. The lanky center would provide an Anthony Davis type presence in the middle to replace Fab Melo, who jumped to the NBA Draft.

Some have actually said that Noel is a "significantly better shot-blocker" than Davis, which is almost impossible to imagine considering Davis was the best defender as a freshmen in college basketball since Patrick Ewing.

Noel is a Tilton, MA native and says his mother will play a key role in where he goes to school. If he chooses to stay close to home, Syracuse would appear to be the leader going into Wednesday night's proceedings.

It will unfold in the coming hours as three anxious programs await an answer.
