Syracuse Basketball Recruiting 2012: Nerlens Noel Says Commitment Rumors Are 'Crazy'

Almost 24 hours separates Nerlens Noel, the highly touted college basketball recruit from Tilton, Ma., from his current state until the commitment decision announcement on Wednesday (7:30 p.m. on ESPNU). By now, every rumor about where the 6-foot-10, 215-pound center will end up for the 2012-13 season has be talked, written and tweeted about, and according to Noel, who has been writing blog posts for ESPN.com, none of them are true.

Like I said, tonight we’re gonna have a group discussion and write things out and see where we’re most comfortable and what the best decision will be. The rumors about me already being committed are just crazy.

Anyone who knows me knows my mom, Dorcina, has to sign off on any decision and that she will play a major part in any decision. So tonight is when I’ll talk to her about it all.

Noel's post came late Monday morning and less than 12 hours after tweeting that he's going to shock the world. What that all means is up to the discretion to the fan bases still in the running for Noel's shot-blocking services -- Kentucky Wildcats, Syracuse Orange and Georgetown Hoyas. All of whom will be closely watching ESPNU Wednesday night.
