Only four teams are left in the 2012 Big East Tournament following Thursday's action. The top-seeded Syracuse Orange advanced, but not without some trouble from the UConn Huskies in a 58-55 win. They will face Cincinnati Bearcats, winners of sloppy double-overtime game against the Georgetown Hoyas.
The Louisville Cardinals were the only team on Thursday to win by a comfortable margin, taking out the 2-seed Marquette Golden Eagles 84-71. They play the 3-seed Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who survived a defensive battle , 57-53, in overtime against the South Florida Bulls.
