The first round of the 2012 Big East Tournament ended late Tuesday night as the No. 14 Villanova Wildcats knocked off the No. 11 Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Madison Square Garden. The result finalized the bracket for day two, as the Connecticut Huskies, Pittsburgh Panthers and Seton Hall Pirates all won in blowout fashion earlier on Tuesday.
Wednesday, the second round of the Big East Tournament will feature four teams that received first-round byes -- the West Virginia Mountaineers, Georgetown Hoyas, Louisville Cardinals and South Florida Bulls.
