Lin has missed the last two games with a sore left knee – both Knicks' wins. They have won three straight games and eight of their last nine since head coach, Mike D'Antoni's, resignation.
Iman Shumpert and Baron Davis were the Knicks' staring guards in their recent smashing of the Orlando Magic. Shumpert responded with a career-high 25 points in his second consecutive start due to injures to Lin, along with A'mare Stoudemire. Davis finished the game with 11 points (on seven shots), adding seven rebounds and six assists, while turning the ball over twice.
Linsanity has tempted considerably since its inception, as has Lin's play, but he's remained adequate, averaging over 14 points and six assists over his last 10 games. On the downside, he's shooting 41 percent and turning the ball over four times per game.
