Big East Tournament 2012: What The Bracket Would Look Like Today 7.0

The Big East Tournament is five days away, and the bracket and schedule is quickly shaping up. Since our last update, the only shift in the bracket has been the Pittsburgh Panthers moving from a No. 13-seed to a No. 12, however, it means nothing as their opponent, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, is the same.

On Friday, the Providence Friars visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who could lockup a double-bye with a victory.

Meanwhile, Saturday's slate of games could have some impact on the Big East Tournament field, as the South Florida Bulls could earn a double-bye if they beat the West Virginia Mountaineers and Notre Dame or the Georgetown Hoyas lose regular-season finales.

The Seton Hall Pirates could lockup a single-bye with a win over the DePaul Blue Demons, as the Cincinnati Bearcats and Louisville Cardinals have already cemented their first-round byes.

The biggest change in seeding could come from the St. John's Red Storm, who's currently seeded No. 11 but could fall all the way to No. 14 with a loss to Rutgers.

So, without further delay here's what the Big East Tournament would look like if it started today.
