The Seton Hall Pirates continue the National Invitational Tournament on Saturday morning against the Massachusetts Minutemen.
Seton Hall advanced to the second round of the 2012 NIT by surviving Stony Brook Tuesday night, 63-61. The Pirates built an early 10-point lead but could have lost if Stony Brook sharpshooter Bryan Dougher's last-second three-pointer, which bounded off the rim with two seconds left, had fallen.
UMass escaped Mississippi St. with a thrilling 101-96 overtime victory behind 28 points, eight rebounds and six assists from Chaz Williams.
