NCAA Tournament Bracket 2012: Michigan State Drubs LIU-Brooklyn, 89-67

After a scary first 20 minutes, the No. 1 seed Michigan State Spartans were able to pull away from the LIU-Brooklyn Blackbirds, 89-67 in Columbus Friday night.

The Spartans won the game on the boards, outrebounding the Blackbirds -. Michigan State also pounded the ball down low on offense, shooting 59.1 percent. Draymond Green had an outstanding game scoring - points and pulling down - rebounds.

Jamal Olasewere had a team-high 17 points for LIU-Brooklyn including shooting 75 percent from behind the arc. C.J. Garner and Julian Boyd chimed in with 15 points each.

Michigan State will advance to the third round where they will play the Saint Louis Bilikins on Sunday.
