CIT Tournament 2012 Results: Manhattan Upends Albany, 89-79

The Manhattan Jaspers beat the Albany Great Danes on Wednesday night in the first round of the 2012 CIT tournament. Manhattan won by a final score of 89-79, thanks to some stellar shooting and good play on the boards.

George Beamon was a one-man show for the Jaspers. He scored 34 points and had 10 rebounds for a double-double. Beamon was 13-for-19 from the field, including two-for-three on three-point shots. Three other players finished in double digits on the score sheet. Michael Alvarado was the team's second-leading scorer with 12 points.

Jacob Iati led the Great Danes with 23 points. Gerardo Suero finished with 18 points for Albany.
