Knicks Trade Rumors: Toney Douglas Being Shopped Around

After falling out of favor with head coach Mike D'Antoni, Toney Douglas has been riding the bench for a few months and is now the subject of trade rumors.

With Thursday's trade deadline rapidly approaching, ESPN's Jared Zwerling reports that the New York Knicks are shopping Douglas in search of anything to help this underachieving team.

Douglas should have some value on the market. He could be a starting guard for a bad to mediocre team and definite quality depth for a contender. He's an excellent defender who can shoot from beyond the arc and has a very affordable deal.

New York would love to pick up some help on the interior, but that type of player is hard to come by.

It's a tough spot for the Knicks right now, who perhaps aren't even sure who the coach will be by Thursday. If they lose to Portland on Wednesday night, all bets are off on that subject.
