After an incredible run through the Atlantic 10 Tournament, St. Bonaventure is looking to keep the magic alive against the Seminoles in the 3 vs. 14 East region match-up.
Nobody expected the Bonnies (20-11, 10-6) to be here. It wasn't an easy road getting to the NCAA Tournament, having to beat St. Joe's, UMass and Xavier on consecutive days to secure the A-10 title.
Andrew Nicholson deserves a lions share of the credit. The senior forward refuses to see his college career come to an end, scoring 70 points and grabbing 30 rebounds over the last three contests.
He'll be the main focus for a Florida State (24-9, 12-4) team that's coming off quite a run of its own. After being Miami (FL) in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament, the Seminoles then beat Duke and North Carolina to claim their first ACC championship.
Michael Snaer is the bell-cow for FSU, hitting on 75 percent of his 3-point attempts (9 for 12) in last week's tourney after leading the team in scoring during the regular season with 14.5 points per game.
Many people won't give the Bonnies much of a chance in this one. Then again, who gave them a chance to be here in the first place?
