2012 WGC-Cadillac Championship: Justin Rose Wins As Tiger Woods Withdraws

Justin Rose won the 2012 WGC-Cadillac Championship Sunday, but the big story was that Tiger Woods withdrew on the 12th hole with an injury to his left achilles tendon.

"I felt tightness in my left Achilles when warming up this morning. It felt progressively worse throughout the day," Woods said in a statement. "After hitting my tee shot at 12, I decided it was necessary to withdraw. In the past, I may have tried to continue to play, but this time, I decided to do what I thought was necessary. I will get my Achilles evaluated sometime early next week."

St. John's University graduate Keegan Bradley began the day three shot back of leader Bubba Watson and playing in the final pairing. He shot three-over par 75, however, and finished 11-under for the tournament, five shots behind Rose.

The winner shot two-under 70 for the day, ending the tournament 16-under par. Watson, who led by three shots beginning play, shot 74 and lost by one stroke, finishing the tournament 15-under par.
