Seton Hall Vs. UConn Preview

The Seton Hall Pirates visit the Connecticut Huskies Saturday at noon (SNY) during the first game of Jim Calhoun's indefinite medical leave of absence.

Calhoun, the Hall of Fame UConn coach, announced Friday through the school his intentions to take an indefinite leave of absence due to a worsening back condition called spinal stenosis. The Huskies had already been struggling, losing four straight, including three Big East tilts.

Seton Hall has followed a four-game winning streak with five consecutive losses, the latest a 66-59 defeat Tuesday at the hands of Marquette. The Pirates, paced by Herb Pope's 16 points and seven rebounds, led by as many as 11 points but could not close the door on the Golden Eagles.
