As the workouts continue at the 2012 NFL Combine, the analysts' takes on former Rutgers wide receiver Mohamed Sanu are mixed.
ESPN's Todd McShay referred to Sanu as "way overrated"
Rutgers' Mohamed Sanu: "I like him, he's physical, he has good hands, but he's way overrated. He can't get open." (via ESPN)
Shutdown Corner's Doug Farrar projects Sanu as a solid No. 2 receiver:
I like Sanu as a reliable, though not exceptionally quick, receiver who can make gains in possession concepts, and I think he reinforced his grasp of the fundamentals during his combine workout. (via Shutdown Corner)
McShay was not the only analyst to make the comment about Sanu's ability to get open. NFL Network's Mike Mayock also talked about Sanu's struggles against press coverage last week. Unlike McShay, Mayock did at least note Sanu's incredible production last season. Despite the concerns about his speed and ability to get open, no one has knocked Sanu's hands.
