2012 NBA All-Star Weekend Preview: Knicks, Nets Well Represented In All-Star Events

The 2012 NBA All-Star weekend is nearly upon us. The New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets will both have representatives as the various events this weekend.

Nets guard Deron Williams will play for the East as a reserve in the NBA All-Star game. Williams will also participate in the Taco Bell Skills Challenge. Williams will be joined on All-Star weekend by his teammates Anthony Morrow and Marshon Brooks. Morrow will participate in the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest. Brooks will play in the Rising Stars Challenge on Team Chuck, selected by Charles Barkley.

The Knicks were to be represented by Iman Shumpert in the Sprite Slam Dunk Contest, but he was injured and replaced by Jeremy Evans of the Jazz. The Knicks will be represented by Landry Fields and Jeremy Lin. Fields will play in the Rising Stars Challenge as well as participate in the Haier Shooting Stars Challenge with former Knick Allan Houston. Lin will play in the Rising Stars Challenge with Fields on Team Shaq, selected by Shaquille O'Neal.

Friday, Feb. 24

Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game (7 p.m., TV: TNT)

BBVA Rising Stars Challenge (9 p.m., TV: TNT)

Saturday, Feb. 25

NBA D-League All-Star Game (2 p.m., TV: NBA TV)

NBA All-Star Saturday Night (8:30 p.m., TV: TNT)

- 2012 Haier Shooting Stars (1st Event)
- 2012 Taco Bell Skills Challenge (2nd Event)
- 2012 Foot Locker Three-Point Contest (3rd Event)
- 2012 Sprite Slam Dunk (4th Event)

Sunday, Feb. 26

NBA All-Star Game (7:37 tip-off, TV: TNT)
