2012 NBA All-Star Game: Deron Williams Selected To Taco Bell Skills Challenge

Deron Williams has been chosen to participate in the 2012 Taco Bell Skills Challenge as part of NBA All-Star Weekend in Orlando, the NBA announced on Monday.

The New Jersey Nets guard will be joined in the competition by Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Tony Parker, John Wall and Russell Westbrook. The six guards will complete an obstacle course designed to test a player's speed, passing, dribbling and shooting. Whoever finishes the obstacle course in the quickest amount of time wins.

Williams has participated in the event on two prior occasions, winning the 2008 Skills Challenge with a record 25.5 seconds.

Already named an Eastern Conference All-Star, Williams is averaging 21.7 points and 8.3 assists per game despite shooting a career-low 41.0 percent from the field.

The Skills Challenge is on Saturday, Feb. 25 during All-Star Saturday, which is televised on TNT beginning at 8 p.m.
