Bracketology 2012: Syracuse Earns A 1-Seed, Seton Hall A 12-Seed In Latest Projections

The latest bracketology is up at SB Nation.com. The No. 2 Syracuse Orange are currently projected to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, which is not surprising. Despite a long slump, the Seton Hall Pirates are also projected to make the tournament as a 12-seed. The St. John's Red Storm and Rutgers Scarlet Knights are not projected to make the field but six other Big East teams are: Marquette, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Connecticut and Louisville.

Syracuse is currently slotted as the 1-seed against Long Island in the East Regional (opening round in Pittsburgh).

Seton Hall is projected to be the 12-seed against San Diego State in the East Regional (opening round in Portland).

Those projections set up a possible matchup between Syracuse and Seton Hall. In the meantime, the Orange will be looking to overturn seven consecutive losses to Louisville tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
