New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks continues to battle injuries this season. The team held Nicks out of Thursday's practice with a sore knee despite removing him from the injury report on Wednesday.
Nicks suffered a sprained MCL in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that forced him to miss the following three games. Despite his constant presence on the injury report since the original injury, Nicks has been able to participate in the past seven games.
Tight end Travis Beckum (knee), running back Ahmad Bradshaw (foot), and safeties Kenny Phillips (knee) and Tyler Sash (hamstring) also missed Thursday's practice.
Jason Pierre-Paul, David Baas and Domenik Hixon were full participants in practice, as were Chase Blackburn, Michael Boley and Jacquian Williams.
New York is 7-5 on the season, and has a one-game lead in the NFC East over the Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants will host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, and needs to win the game to keep their hold on the division.
