Reggie Evans will miss Tuesday night's game for the Brooklyn Nets against the Oklahoma City Thunder, while Brook Lopez will be absent for a third straight game with a foot injury.
The two players out will leave the Nets shorthanded on their front line: Evans, 32 years old and in his 11th year in the NBA, has proved he's still very valuable as a rebounder off of the bench, grabbing 8.4 boards while scoring 3.2 points. He had registered double-digit rebounds in five straight games before Saturday night's loss to the Miami Heat.
The team has gone 1-1 in their two games without Lopez, with Andray Blatche filling in at center. Lopez is still the team's leading scorer, averaging 18.5 points, but Blatche has picked up some of the load, scoring in double digits in his last three games including 20 against the Heat and a double-double against the Boston Celtics.
