Are the New York Mets moving closer to trading Cy Young Award winner R.A. Dickey. That likely depends on who you ask or how you read the news coming out of the Baseball Winter Meetings.
ESPN reported earlier on Monday that the Mets had gotten "serious" about trading the 38-year-old knuckleballer. In an intriguing breakdown of the pros and cons of trading Dickey, Forbes magazine called the situation a "complex conundrum" for the Mets.

General manager Sandy Alderson acknowledged on Monday that, as expected, much of his time at the meetings is being taken up by teams inquiring about Dickey.
Alderson said "several" teams have expressed interest in Dickey. "But, again, we haven't had meetings with every team that might have interest," Alderson added. "I think we're comfortable saying it's more than two. ... The teams that are interested will approach us. ... We're not out promoting interest or buying billboards at this stage."
One report indicated that the Boston Red Sox are among those suitors who are inquiring.
