Christmas Day features several great NBA matchups, the first of which will feature the Nets hosting the Celtics at noon at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Both teams are in need of a win, with the Celtics (13-13) and Nets (14-12) both struggling as of late. Brooklyn in particular has had a bad run; at one point they were 11-4 but have since dropped nearly every game. They did win their last contest, 95-92, over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Brook Lopez has been the leading scorer for the Nets this year with 17.5 points per game, and Joe Johnson is right behind him with 17.2.
The Nets took the win the last time the two teams met back in November, 95-83. They are 2-0 so far in the season series against Boston. Brooklyn has not had a three-game winning streak against the Celtics since 2006.
The game will be at the Barclays Center at noon ET. The game will be televised on ESPN.
