The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will be looking for their fourth straight home victory Sunday when the UAB Blazers visit the RAC for a non-conference men's basketball game (noon ET).
Rutgers (6-2) will be playing its first of three games without head coach Mike Rice, who was suspended and find $50,000 earlier in the week after an internal investigation found the third-year headman guilty of inappropriate behavior and language.
According to a report by The Star Ledger, Rice threw basketballs at players during a practice during his first or second season.
In his absence, associate head coach David Cox will lead the team.
The Scarlet Knights are playing just their second game in over two weeks. On Tuesday, Rutgers defeated the visiting George Washington Colonials, 68-65.
Meanwhile, UAB (5-5) is led by first-year head coach Jerrod Haase. The Blazers are coming off a 92-78 victory over South Alabama on Dec. 8. UAB is just 1-5 on the road this season.
