Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez will miss his sixth straight game tonight against the New York Knicks and will miss his seventh straight on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors. Lopez, who is suffering from a sprained right foot, will not travel with the Nets to Toronto and will be reevaluated after a workout on Thursday.
The Nets have lost their last four games without Lopez and have fallen to 11-8 on the season. Lopez averages a team-high 18.5 points per game along with 6.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. Coach Avery Johnson did not express large worries over Lopez's injury, saying his concern over the injury was only a two on a scale of 10.
The Nets have a packed schedule this week and hope Lopez can return to the floor soon. After playing the Knicks on Tuesday and Raptors on Wednesday, the Nets take on the Detroit Pistons on Friday and the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
