J.R. Smith and Carmelo Anthony each scored 20 points, and the New York Knicks defeated the Washington Wizards, 108-87, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The win was New York's tenth consecutive victory against Washington. New York (11-4) remains tied with Brooklyn atop the Atlantic Division as both teams were victorious Friday.

The Knicks got out to an early lead against the hapless Wizards (1-13), leading by nine at the end of the first quarter and never trailing in the game. New York shot 54% from the field, making 12 three-pointers on the night. Smith and Anthony led the Knicks, with Ronnie Brewer and Tyson Chandler each adding 12 points. Chandler also had 10 rebounds.

For the Wizards, it was back to their familiar losing ways after breaking a 12-game losing streak to start the season on Wednesday against Portland. Washington shot 45% from the field, but made only five three-pointers and just over 50% (12-21) from the free throw line. Jordan Crawford led the Wizards with 17 points. Bradley Beal chipped in 14, while Kevin Seraphin had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Knicks return to the court on Sunday against the Phoenix Suns at Madison Square Garden.
